Book Now

Suitable for:  Senior school leaders, aspirant leaders, subject leaders, middle leaders, class teachers and support staff

An opportunity to observe specialist Early Years teachers ‘in action’ in their classrooms developing children’s skills in the Prime and Specific areas of learning. Each half term will focus on a different area of learning including; Communications and Language, PSED, Physical Development, Literacy and Maths. Through observations practitioners will focus on the learning opportunities that will impact on children’s progress and attainment.

Workshops following the observation allows practitioners to reflect on what they have observed and how that relates to their own practice. Working with an SLE we will explore the ethos behind each area of learning and the challenges and barriers that practitioners face in their own settings. Practitioners will leave with ideas, resources and an understanding of how to implement in their own practice.

Key Outcomes

  • Participants will have a deeper understanding of the pedagogy around Early Years practice.
  • Participants will have a deeper understanding of how to support children to reach and exceed the expected outcomes at the end of Early Years Foundation Stage in Prime and Specific Areas.
  • Participants will have the opportunity to visit and observe the practice of Lead Practitioners in outstanding settings.

Alliance members will receive a discounted price of £55.00 per delegate.
