Lat Blaylock is the Editor for RE Today magazine.  RE Today Services works nationally and internationally to support Religious Education in Schools.  It is committed to the teaching of the major world faiths in Religious Education, and to an accurate and fair representation of their beliefs, values and practices in all its teaching materials.  Lat will present a highly practical and inspirational day to enable your RE to be excellent in the coming year, focusing on creativity and challenge.

Nigel Bright is the South West Regional Network Facilitator for the Church of England Foundation for Educational Leadership.  The Church of England Foundation for Educational Leadership is a partnership of schools, dioceses, universities and others dedicated to supporting the development of leaders in education working towards a vision for education based on a Christian view of ‘life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10).  It aims to develop a national movement of leaders equipped to transform education through world-class programmes, transformative networks and inspirational research.

  • 11.15 – 12.45 Session 2: (90 minutes)
    Bringing thoughtfulness to RE learning: 5 ways to make RE a thinking centre for the whole curriculum and a planning approach to match

  • 1.45 – 3.15pm Session 3: (90 minutes)
    Bringing challenge to RE learning: planning for progress: 5 ways to encourage every child to show their achievements in RE
